Women’s liberation and empowerment are terms feminists started using to talk about casting off the limitations imposed upon women and demanding equality. We have perverted these words. The freedom to be sexually provocative or promiscuous is not enough freedom; it is not the only ‘women’s issue’ worth paying attention to. And we are not even free in the sexual arena. We have simply adopted a new norm, a new role to play: lusty, busty exhibitionist. There are other choices. If we are really going to be sexually liberated, we need to make room for a range of options as wide as the variety of human desire. We need to allow ourselves the freedom to figure out what we internally want from sex instead of mimicking whatever popular culture holds up to us as sexy. That would be liberation.

And seriously, what would be the point of shelling out all the money to buy a prostitute if she could say no? Men pay for prostitutes because they don’t want to bother finding a woman who will consent of her own desire. They use money as a stand-in for a woman’s genuine interest, or to try to cultivate faux-interest, because they don’t want to deal with the aggravation of trying to find a woman who is actually interested in consensual “sex” (or being beaten, or doing whatever other vile, idiotic thing has been entering into his head as of late). Men pay prostitutes because they want an actress, or at least a warm body, who will pretend to want him, or who won’t make demands, or who won’t be able to go to the police. Men go to prostitutes because they don’t give enough of a crap about women to want to make sure there is actual, not quantum, consent. If women could not be forced into prostitution, or forced to keep their “rates” low by those who have been, or otherwise coerced financially, then prostitution would pretty much go away.

i think its bc AS MEN, they have a vested interest in never directly challenging the patriarchy, and doing it FOR REALS. focusing on and framing women as the enemy is a reversal, and men are experts at patriarchal reversals. men are also violent misogynists, and target women for their hatred and violence all the time, as a matter of course. men who would “never hurt a fly” hurt women all the time, and severely. MTF trans are not women, they are men, and they act like it. and men cannot, by definition, challenge patriarchy, because you cannot support and undermine something at the same time. physics prevent it. nor is anyone likely to be supported by and undermine that same thing, at the same time. and men, and MTFs are supported by patriarchy. transgenderism is the fucking shit icing on the shit cake from womens perspective, and puberty-blocking and medicalizing nonconforming girls has made that so clear. SO clear. they really shouldnt have gone that far, but they have gone that far. they have given away their entire game, and its up to us to call it what it is.

Will they ever understand that living their lives as men before transitioning, whether it was until they were in their 20’s, 40’s, or 60’s, means they were afforded male privilege for that span of time, which stuck with them even through all of the surgeries and hormones - and this is why wbw spaces were developed; because they dont have the shared experience of a woman who has been a 2nd class citizen because of men all of her life?Dont they see that the fact that they feel the need to take over *everything* is proof enough to the rest of us that they still carry that privilege, proof that underneath it all, they are still men wanting to dominate women?
